Kevin W. Stone
BBH is a privately-owned global financial services firm focused on two businesses, Capital Partners and Investor Services. Founded in 1818, BBH has navigated more than two centuries of changing global markets by maintaining its independence, focusing on clients, and treating partnership as more than a form of ownership. Leadership transitions are a key part of that continuity, planned with the same discipline and long-term perspective the firm brings to its clients’ interests. Stone assumes the role at a time of strong momentum for BBH, reflected in deep client engagement, new relationships, and continued investment in its people, technology, and client solutions.
“After more than 42 years at the firm, what I am most proud of is the strength of our people and partnership with clients,” said Tyree, Managing Partner of BBH. “Kevin is a trusted leader who has helped shape this firm for more than three decades. He understands what makes our firm distinctive and is exceptionally well positioned to lead BBH through our next chapter of growth and innovation. I have had the privilege of working closely with him for nearly all of his career, and I know our clients, our people, and our partnership are in good hands.”
Stone, BBH’s current Chief Financial Officer and a Partner, brings an enterprise-wide perspective and 34 years of leadership experience to the role. Since joining BBH in 1992, he has held senior positions across Service Delivery, Treasury, and Finance, building a comprehensive understanding of the firm, its businesses, and the clients it serves. Stone has served on BBH’s Executive Committee for over a decade, chairs its Finance Committee, and has global responsibility for Finance, Compliance, and Human Resources, supporting 6,000 employees across 18 offices.
“For more than 200 years, BBH’s success has been rooted in a singular focus: helping our clients succeed,” said Stone. “Our private partnership gives us the independence to think long term and invest with purpose in our people, technology, data capabilities, and in innovative solutions that help our clients adapt and grow. Our history gives us perspective, but our future will be earned every day, by listening closely, investing thoughtfully, and delivering with the consistency and care our clients expect. I am honored to lead BBH and confident that our partnership model, our people, and our steadfast focus on clients will continue to set us apart.”
