Dothan, AL, October 22, 2026 —
Ashford and Dale County are set to meet in Midland City on Friday night in a high school football game described as a “win-and-in” matchup for playoff qualification. Both teams enter the game with a 3-3 record in region play.
The shared record gives the matchup direct playoff significance: the game has been identified as a chance for the winner to qualify. The available information does not specify the playoff format or explain how the result would affect either team beyond that stated qualification opportunity.
The game is scheduled for Friday night, but no kickoff time was provided. The season, stadium, and other details about the event were also not included. No information was provided about the teams’ recent results, players, coaches, or prior meetings, so the records alone do not establish how the teams are likely to perform.
A final score and the outcome of the playoff qualification race were not available in the information provided. The matchup’s significance is therefore centered on the stakes entering the game: Ashford and Dale County have identical region records, and the contest has been characterized as a win-and-in opportunity.
Further details, including whether either team has additional routes to playoff qualification, were not provided. The stated records and Friday-night schedule are the only available specifics about the matchup.
